O soul está de volta! JAAFAR “Travel Light” Album Release review

A razão deste review é compartilhar com nossos amigos o lançamento do CD do Artista de Soul Music e R&B norte americano JAAFAR, em seu primeiro trabalho intitulado ”Travel Light”.

O Album é resultado do exemplar trabalho de produção em equipe dos talentosos jovens irmãos músicos e produtores da “So Fo Real Productions“, Will “Slick” Brown”, Douglas “Dboi” Brown e Darnell “Drummatik” Brown. O cenário dos acontecimentos é a cidade de Birmingham, AL / USA.

A primeira reação que tive ao ouvir o som foi de uma intensa paz, típica da música que toca nossas almas pela sinceridade e nos eleva a uma instantânea sensação de bem estar.

o Album “Travel Light” contém  13 faixas do mais puro Soul music, direto da fonte. O som é definitivamente de muito bom gosto, afinal, acredito que nada substitui o talento e a criatividade, presente neste Album inédito de ponta a ponta. Alguns momentos do CD provocam fortes emoções (arrepios!), especialmente aqueles coros de vozes típicos do Soul “Quiet Storm”, como os da faixa “Hard To Say Goodbye”, outros impressionam pela versatilidade “Nu Soul” dos músicos e a emotiva interpretação de Jaafar como na faixa “Can You Make Time” e “Everytime”.

A participação especial da cantora “Amor” (Everytime) e do guitarrista “Squeeze” (Missing you / I give up) acrescentam o tempero e somam na intensidade certa. o som é envolvente, para cima. As letras são românticas, contam histórias de amor e relacionamentos.

Dimitri cita: ”Jaafar possui originalidade em sua levada, e transporta os ouvintes para dentro do universo soul, transitando em suas vertentes com personalidade e simplicidade”.

É claro que o “groove” não ficou de fora nas belas linhas de baixo, solos de trompete e sax, sem contar a pegada black de bateria com o pé no Jazz. Ao vivo Jaafar é acompanhando em suas live performances pela banda “Soul Moviment”.

The reason of this review is to share with our friends the CD release of the north american soul music and R&B artist named JAAFAR, in his first work entitled “Travel Light”.

The album is the result of the exemplary team work by Jaafar and the production team of talented young musicians and producers of “So For Real Productions, the brothers Will “Slick” Brown”, Douglas “Dboi” Brown and Darnell “Drummatik” Brown. The facts scene is the city of Birmingham, AL / USA.

The first reaction I had to hear the tracks was an intense peace sensation, typical of the kind of music that touches our souls by the sincerity and take you to an instant feeling of well being.

The Album “Travel Light” contains 13 tracks of pure Soul music, directly coming from the source. The sound is definitely from very good taste, because I believe that nothing replaces the talent and the creativity, present in this unique album from begin to end.

Sometimes the CD causing me strong emotions (shivers!), Especially those voice choirs  typical of “Quiet Storm” Soul sytle, as the track “Hard To Say Goodbye”, others moments impress by the versatility “Nu Soul” of musicians and emotional interpretation of Jaafar as in the track “Can You Make Time” and “Everytime.”

The special feats by the singer “Love” (Everytime) and the guitar player “Squeeze” (Missing you / I give up) add the seasoning and add special intensity in the right way. the sound is engaging, to up. The lyrics are romantic, tell stories about love and relationships.

Dimitri says:
“Jaafar got originality in his take, and transports the listener into the world of soul, moving in its strands with personality and simplicity.”

The “groove” was clearly not out in the beautiful bass lines, in the trumpet and sax solos, also in the battery groovy with a foot in the jazz style. Jaafar play Live performances in company of his band “Soul Movement”.

So invite your family, prepare a good dinner, serve they a good wine with a soundtrack by Jaafar “travel light”, and be happy! Enjoy and make peace with your neighbors!
